October 2010 in Licto, Ecuador

Team One

Scot retired on July 31, 2010 and in October we spent two weeks in Licto, Ecuador with a Work & Witness group from the Missouri District of the Nazarene Church. Over the years, we have been on several of these construction projects. Each has been special and meaningful, many of you have helped support this ministry over the years with the purchase of pies from our church. The church in Licto was built in memory of Barb Bouldrey, the District Mission President for many years prior to her death.

The indigenous people of Licto, Quichua Indians, are kind, lovely and very hard workers. We had the privilege of working with them building the walls and pouring the floor of their new church. A second group from the Missouri District arrived after us and put up the roof trusses, roofing tiles and the electrical wiring. The Nazarenes of Licto are now worshiping in their new sanctuary!
